Trips never seem to go the way you planned, and a last minute element of chaos is always thrown into the mix. Two years ago my family's road trip to Minnesota brought us 16 hours in the car without air conditioning. Once we got to Minnesota, it was nothing but chaos. Between visiting with my very large family and preparing for my cousins wedding, I had to remind myself to slow down. My favorite memories of that trip are the times I just relaxed amidst the chaos. I played with my cousin's baby, watched the sunset on the lake, and caught up with my cousins.
Today as we prepare for another family Fourth of July picnic, with babies running around dumping olive oil on their heads, I have to remind myself again to relax amidst the chaos. I choose to believe that everything happens for a reason, even the chaos. God is guiding us in every bit of this journey. So today I am relaxing amidst the chaos of bathing an oily babe, running errands, and hiding in the camper to write this blog post.
Hope you are able to relax amidst the chaos in your life this week.
With love,
